EBITDA stands for earning before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization. It’s a company’s net income plus the costs of taxes, interest, depreciation and amortization.
EBITDA measures a company’s profitability without accounting for interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization. The fact that EBITDA hides these factors has led many experts, including Warren Buffett, to call it meaningless.
